Lequ Okinawa Chatan: What Does the Rooftop Pool Really Cost?

A room at Lequ Okinawa Chatan Spa & Resort places your evening inside Depot Island and American Village. That can remove a drive after dinner. The eighth-floor natural hot spring is included for guests and stays open late, while the rooftop pool needs a separate ticket. Premier Building rooms add a private hot-spring bath and an in-room washer-dryer. These benefits serve different schedules, so choose the Chatan base first and then decide which part of the hotel you will really use.

The pool question is especially time-sensitive. On 24 October 2026, the published main season has one week left: it ends on 31 October. A heated winter session is listed from 1 November 2026 to 20 February 2027, with shorter hours. Both periods list ¥2,000 per adult and ¥1,000 for a child aged six to twelve; children five and under enter free. The booking calculation changes with family size, the number of swims and the hours you will be back from sightseeing.

The evening in Chatan should justify the address

Lequ sits among the shops and restaurants of Depot Island, inside the American Village area. Dinner, a waterfront walk and a return to the hotel can form one short local sequence. If your trip ends two evenings in Chatan, that convenience is repeated. If each day ends after a long return from Onna, Nago or Motobu, the same address can add road time. Work through the Okinawa base-area decision before comparing room rates. A good pool does not repair a base placed far from the places you intend to visit.

For a first night after a late flight or a last night before an early one, moving between Naha Airport and Chatan can consume the hours in which Lequ earns its price. The late-arrival and early-flight hotel guide tests that specific alternative. If your main sightseeing is on the north of the island, the five-day Okinawa route without constant hotel changes may make an Onna or Motobu night more useful than repeated Chatan returns.

Stay pattern

First Lequ choice

What can undo it

One night, American Village dinner and late bath

Main Building

An airport transfer leaves no useful local evening

Two nights with one protected pool afternoon

Main, then add the pool cost

Weather or a full-day excursion removes the swim

Three or more nights with regular laundry

Price Premier against Main

Premium exceeds the value of private bath and in-room washer

Several far-north sightseeing days

Compare a northern base first

Repeated road time overwhelms Chatan evenings

No car and a suitable airport coach

Check Lequ and exact coach departure

The direct service runs only twice each way daily

That comparison is not a judgment about how attractive Chatan is. It is a question about where you will be at the end of each day. A local restaurant night followed by a hot spring is something Lequ can deliver without another car journey. A photograph of the rooftop pool cannot save an itinerary that returns after the pool shuts. The Vessel Campana versus Lequ comparison is useful after you have decided that Chatan itself works.

Main and Premier solve different daily routines

Main Building guests can use the shared natural hot spring; the building also has laundry machines. Premier is a separate room product: the property lists natural hot-spring bathing in every Premier room and a washer-dryer in every Premier room. A private bath is not simply a better photograph of the public bath. It matters when guests want to bathe on their own schedule or cannot use the shared facility. The washer matters when swimwear, children’s clothes or road-trip laundry need attention more than once.

On one night, those Premier tools have little time to pay back their premium. Arrive around dinner, walk through American Village, use the public bath and leave in the morning: Main may cover the stay. Over three nights, a family could wash clothes twice and use the private bath each evening. Premier then replaces repeated trips to a laundry area and changes the bathing routine. Count the uses you expect; dividing the live Premier premium by those uses is more honest than assigning an invented yen price to privacy.

The room itself must still suit the party. Check actual bed configuration, guest allowance and any daybed arrangement on the selected category. The Okinawa family-hotel comparison addresses why laundry and legal sleeping places often decide more than the pool. For two friends sharing, the Okinawa girls’ trip hotel guide tests whether bathroom and luggage layout suit the evenings planned.

The rooftop pool is a paid appointment

The pool occupies the Main Building roof on floor eight. The published 2026 main period runs 20 March through 31 October. Hours are 08:00–20:00, extended to 21:00 only from July through September. As of late October, plan around the 20:00 finish, not a summer-night photograph. The heated winter period is listed for 1 November 2026 through 20 February 2027, from 08:00 to 18:00. The dates, hours and weather rules are live operating conditions, so the exact stay date remains part of the decision.

Standard guest admission is ¥2,000 for an adult and ¥1,000 for ages six through twelve. A child five or younger is free. An adult must accompany a child aged twelve or below; the adult ticket is due even if that adult stays out of the water. One accompanying adult may supervise up to three children under the stated rule. The fee is attached to each use, not quietly covered by the room rate. The Okinawa hotel-pool time guide makes the same scheduling test across other properties.

Two adults and two children aged 6–12, one use

¥6,000

Same family, two uses

¥12,000

Two adults, checkout-morning limited option

¥3,000 if the special option applies

The arithmetic is derived directly from per-person admissions, not a room package price. The hotel also lists a checkout-day limited option from 08:00 until checkout: ¥1,500 per adult and ¥700 per child aged six to twelve, with ages five and under free. For guests who want just a final morning dip, that may reduce the bill. It does not help a guest leaving before pool opening or someone whose transport requires a quick checkout. A family with two paid children should include every accompanying adult before calling the pool a low-cost bonus.

Consider a day trip that starts after breakfast and ends back in Chatan at 20:30. In late October, the pool is closed; in winter it closes even earlier. The bath still has late hours. Now consider returning at 15:00, swimming before dinner and walking out into American Village: the pool has a defined place in the trip. If no afternoon can be protected, compare hotels without assigning Lequ a pool advantage you cannot use. The Hilton Chatan pool-and-room assessment provides another local pool-led choice, but its own pool rules need a separate live check.

The main 2026 season is almost finished at the current date. Do not buy a November room expecting the longer July–September evening opening. A winter heated pool is a different proposition: 08:00–18:00, not a year-round 21:00 swim. Weather can further affect an outdoor rooftop activity. Decide which hour you would enter the water before treating the fee as part of a resort holiday.

The natural hot spring survives a full sightseeing day

Registered guests can use the Main Building natural hot-spring bath without a separate admission charge. The morning period is 06:00–10:00, last entry 09:30. The afternoon and evening period is 15:00–01:00, last entry 00:30. That late window gives the bath a stronger everyday role than the pool: dinner in Chatan can finish first. A guest returning at 22:00 still has time to soak even though the rooftop pool is no longer available.

The two facilities also have different tattoo conditions. The pool page allows tattoos subject to its conduct rule, whereas entry to the shared bath requires tattoos to be fully covered with no more than two 8 cm by 10 cm cover stickers supplied at the front desk. Someone who cannot meet that condition should not count the shared bath as a usable inclusion. Premier’s in-room hot-spring bath can change that choice. The Okinawa solo base comparison is relevant if a late local evening, rather than resort facilities, is what you need from the stay.

Airport access depends on one departure, not a route label

A direct airport limousine is listed at about eighty minutes and ¥1,000 per adult or ¥500 per child one way, stopping at the property. It runs two round trips a day. That can be an excellent no-car arrival when the flight lands in time, but a two-departure schedule is not a frequent shuttle. Put the likely time you emerge from baggage claim beside the coach departure before booking the hotel for its airport convenience.

Other services stop at Chatan Gateway, roughly seven minutes away on foot; route bus 120 uses Kuwae and leaves about a ten-minute walk. The gateway services may offer more choices, though they are a different final approach with luggage. Those walks are worth distinguishing from the direct hotel stop. The Tokyu Stay Naha final-night comparison becomes pertinent if the return flight is early enough that staying in Chatan would make the morning brittle.

If you do have a car, Lequ lists 250 guest parking spaces with no charge, first come first served and no reservations. Vehicles over 2.1 metres do not fit the stated height limit. The hotel warns that nearby one-way streets can complicate a first approach. Free parking removes a recurring charge; it does not shorten Motobu or Nago driving days. A northern beach-and-aquarium trip may fit the Orion Hotel Motobu two-night decision better than three nights of returns to Chatan.

Families need to combine the bed and pool rules

Children aged eighteen or younger may share an existing bed with a parent or grandparent without an added lodging charge, subject to the beds in the room. A child needing a separate bed is charged as an adult. Breakfast for a bed-sharing child is free only through age five; older children incur a separate charge. That rule can make a Main Building room economical, but the actual width of the beds and the ages of the children matter more than the word “free”.

The pool moves in the other direction. Two adults and two children aged six to twelve add ¥6,000 for one standard session, ¥12,000 for two. An adult supervising rather than swimming still pays. Compare that total with another hotel’s room and facility package rather than assuming the Lequ bed-sharing saving persists after swimming. The Hilton versus Vessel family-and-parking comparison offers a second Chatan family framework; the Vessel Campana versus Lequ guide addresses the closest local substitute.

For toddlers, the free pool admission does not create extra nap time or make an unsuitable bed arrangement safe. Room location, stroller movement, laundry and a predictable evening may decide the purchase. The Okinawa hotels with babies and toddlers guide puts those constraints ahead of pool photography. If your group is four adults, do not transpose a child bed-sharing rule to four adult guests; check an eligible room or two rooms.

Lequ case

Two nights

One protected Chatan afternoon can support a paid swim

Two long excursions that both return after pool hours

Three or more nights

Premier laundry and private bath may repeat enough to matter

Daily north/south commuting from the wrong island base

One night works when the evening is the destination. With two nights, it becomes easier to leave one afternoon for a swim without sacrificing a full outing. On three nights, the arithmetic of an in-room washer and private bath improves, but the geography becomes more important as well. Ask where the daylight hours lead. If they repeatedly point toward Onna, the Hotel Monterey Okinawa resort-time assessment or the Oriental Okinawa pool-and-beach comparison may match the route better.

A Naha-centred stay presents a different trade-off. If Kokusai-dori and the airport dominate, the Southwest Grand urban-resort analysis shows how to price a city pool. If the goal is several coastal nights, the HIYORI Onna suite comparison considers more time and space in the room. Neither hotel is a one-for-one substitute; each changes what the trip day can contain.

For 2027 stays, add the announced accommodation tax

The property’s notice says an Okinawa lodging tax is planned for stays from 1 February 2027, regardless of when the room was booked or paid. It lists 2% of the pre-tax accommodation charge per guest per night, capped at ¥2,000 per person and night. Meals and consumption tax are excluded from that base. The hotel says it will collect the amount separately at check-in. The notice also says the plan may change, so a 2027 comparison should use the terms in force on the stay date.

A booking-page headline can therefore omit part of the future on-site amount. Compare Main and Premier using the same occupancy, breakfast, pool sessions, cancellation terms and tax presentation. Do not multiply 2% by a package total that includes breakfast or assume the ¥2,000 cap is per room. The cap is listed per person per night. This tax affects other Okinawa hotels too, so it should be handled consistently when comparing a Chatan stay with an Onna or Naha alternative.

What matters at Lequ

Location

American Village and Sunset Beach are walkable, while a Naha or north-island day still needs road time.

Room

Main and Premier categories have different routines and prices; the exact bed layout matters more than the building label.

Cleanliness

The current aggregated guest cleanliness category is about 9.6/10.

Service

The current aggregated staff-and-service category is about 9.4/10.

Facilities

The natural hot-spring bath, laundry and rooftop pool create several uses, but the pool has a separate charge and seasonal hours.

Food

The hotel breakfast supports a slower Chatan morning, while American Village also offers nearby meals outside the package.

Value

A two-night Chatan stay gives the bath and paid pool more chance to earn their cost than a late-arrival overnight.

Overall

Best for an evening around American Village plus time for the bath; the rooftop pool is an optional paid addition.

The /10 site marks assume a Chatan stay with time to use the property. Cleanliness and Service reflect aggregated guest categories; room, pool, bath, food and value marks use the hotel’s published terms. The 2026–27 pool dates and fee should still be checked for the booking date.

Question to answer before payment

1. Base

Are your evenings genuinely in Chatan, or are you commuting back from the north?

2. Room

Main shared facilities or repeated Premier private bath and washer use?

3. Pool

Which day and hour will the entire party swim, and what will admission cost?

4. Hot spring

Can each guest use the shared bath under its hours and entry rules?

5. Airport

Does a direct coach fit the flight, or is the gateway/route-bus walk required?

6. Car and family

Will parking, height, child beds and paid child pool fees work?

7. Final price

Do breakfast, cancellation, taxes and exact room category match?

I would start with Main for a short Chatan evening and reserve the pool only when an afternoon is protected. I would price Premier seriously when a private bath or in-room drying cycle solves a recurring task. If the first and last days are built around Naha Airport, or most full days run north, the correct answer may be a different base. The Hilton Sesoko island-resort decision and Orion Motobu stay guide are useful when the north is the real centre of the trip.

Compare hotels in Chatan for your dates. Add the party’s pool tickets to the chosen room total and check whether a Main or Premier room actually provides the beds and bathing arrangement you intend to use. A live room quote cannot be interpreted without those details.
